The player’s central asset
More than something you wear
Your shoe carries the characteristics that shape every PULSE session.
Its type determines the movement speed it supports. Its attributes drive performance. Its level opens new possibilities, while sockets let pods deepen a chosen build.
Four movement profiles
Choose your pace
A shoe performs within its own speed range. Type changes the way a player moves, but it does not change the shoe’s starting attribute distribution.

Walker
Steady movementBuilt for walking and accessible everyday movement.

Jogger
Active rhythmA flexible range for brisk walks and regular jogging.

Runner
PerformanceDesigned for sustained running and a consistent output.

Explorer
VersatilityAccepts every speed, exchanging certainty for flexibility.
Why the right type matters
Inside the range, earn at full speed value
Every minute is compared with the selected shoe’s speed range. Moving outside that range still spends the full Energy and applies full wear, but reduces the minute’s contribution.
| Distance from range | Earn factor | Jogger example |
|---|---|---|
| In range | 100% | 4–10 km/h |
| 10% outside | 91% | 3.6 or 11 km/h |
| 25% outside | 77.5% | 3 or 12.5 km/h |
| 50% outside | 55% | 2 or 15 km/h |
| 75% outside | 32.5% | 1 or 17.5 km/h |
| 100%+ outside | 10% | 0 or 20 km/h |

Inside every shoe
Four attributes.
Different strategies.
Each attribute has an immutable base drawn when the shoe is created, plus points allocated by the player as the shoe levels up.
Cadence
Strengthens PACE earning performance.
Fortune
Builds the score used to obtain Sport Bags.
Merit
Prepares the shoe for future Merit systems.
Challenge
Prepares the shoe for future Challenge systems.
Rarity defines potential
Five tiers in the system
Higher rarity expands starting attribute ranges, level limits and the number of points earned per level. New tiers open progressively as the game evolves.

Build over time
Leveling opens choices
A level does not directly multiply earnings. It grants attribute points, raises the daily PACE cap and unlocks access to sockets.
Up to level 30, growth means both more potential and more decisions. Beyond level 30, higher rarity shoes continue raising their daily cap but receive no additional attribute points.
Shape the build
Allocate points into Cadence, Fortune, Merit or Challenge. The distribution is a strategic choice made by the player.
- Common4 / level
- Uncommon6 / level
- Rare8 / level
- Mythic10 / level
Equip pods
Sockets unlock progressively, require a separate payment and accept only a matching pod type.
Socket quality
The socket multiplies the pod
Two identical pods can perform differently depending on the quality of the socket that holds them. Socket quality is separate from socket type.
Before choosing a shoe
Read the whole profile
No single number defines the best shoe. The strongest choice is the one that fits the player’s real pace and long-term strategy.
Match your speed
The type and its range determine whether each minute earns at full value.
Read the bases
Starting attributes are permanent and influence the shoe throughout its lifetime.
Plan the build
Rarity controls points per level; the player chooses where those points go.
Look ahead
Socket types, socket quality, maximum level and shoe side all affect future options.
Left meets right
Every shoe has a side
A shoe is created as either left or right. The side does not affect running performance; it becomes important when two compatible shoes are paired in the Forge.
This makes each shoe useful both as an active build and as a possible part of a future creation strategy.
