The fuel behind every run
Energy sets the time.
Not the reward.
Every complete minute of eligible movement uses 0.2 Energy.
That makes one Energy equal to five minutes of play. Your shoe, speed and run conditions determine what those minutes produce; Energy determines how many of them can count.
Your run may continue. Counting does not.
PULSE keeps showing your movement, but no more Energy is spent and no additional rewards or progression distance are recorded.
One daily capacity
Two Worlds. Two ways to refuel.
Standard and Expert share the same daily capacity and the same four refill slots. What changes is where the fuel comes from.
Automatic gauge
Refills by itselfThe gauge recovers one quarter of your capacity at four fixed UTC times. It can never hold more than your daily capacity.
- 00:00 UTC
- 06:00 UTC
- 12:00 UTC
- 18:00 UTC
Energy Vault
Filled by recycling shoesThe Vault has no storage limit. Your daily capacity still controls how much can be spent, and that spend limit refills by one quarter at each of the four UTC slots — exactly like the Standard gauge.
Build your daily capacity
Keep some. Recycle the rest.
Your capacity is the sum of two independent progressions. Neither path can reach the maximum alone.
There is no 15-shoe ownership limit. Shoes can remain in the inventory after this Energy contribution is reached.
Permanently recycle shoes to unlock long-term capacity.
Up to 160 counted minutes per day.
Inventory contribution
A shoe counts by rarity
Shoes build your shoe score. The total crosses simple capacity steps; soulbound Free-to-Play sandals provide no points. These thresholds measure your shoe score and Energy contribution—not the number of shoes you may own.
The large number is the daily capacity contributed by inventory. The 15+ row means a shoe score of 15 or more—not a maximum of 15 shoes. A Free-to-Play account with only a soulbound sandal still receives a base capacity of 2 Energy—10 minutes per day.
Recycling contribution
Destruction creates permanent progress
Recycling destroys the shoe forever. It fills the Expert Vault immediately and advances a lifetime counter that never decreases.
A shoe cannot be recycled if it is soulbound, is the player’s last shoe, carries a pod, is outside Expert or while a run is active.
What capacity means
Your daily play time
Each slot returns one quarter of the player’s own capacity, in both Worlds: a full gauge, or a full spend limit, in 24 hours.
Three Energy cards
Extend or restore
The cards do not all do the same thing. The +2 and +5 cards permit temporary overflow in Expert; the Recharge card restores fuel.
Expert · one run+2 Capacity
Allows two Energy beyond the normal daily capacity during the equipped run.
Expert · one run+5 Capacity
Allows five Energy beyond the normal daily capacity during the equipped run.
Used from the bagRecharge +1
Returns one Energy to the active reserve when consumed.
The +2 and +5 cards still draw fuel from the Expert Vault. Only one may be active, and its permission ends with that run.
Remember the system
One capacity.
Two reserves.
Energy controls counted time. One Energy powers five complete minutes.
Both Worlds refill on the same four slots. Standard refills its gauge; Expert reopens its spend limit, and the fuel comes from recycled shoes.
Capacity grows along two paths. Inventory contributes up to 12 Energy regardless of how many shoes you own; recycling history contributes up to 20.
UTC rules the clock. Refill slots at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC; the PACE cap and the streak reset at midnight UTC.
